Germany, Wehrmacht. A Close Combat Knife United Republic of the "Enlistment for the duration(Kampfmesser). An extremely well preserved close combat knife, measuring 29 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 15 cm long, nickel plated, magnetic steel blade with a sharpened tip and lower edge. Unmasked, the blade emanates from an exposed tang with a handle grip consisting of two pieces of dark brown wood, secured in place with three magnetic metal rivets. The crossguard features a hooked quillon to protect the user
