Constructed of blackened and silvered brass, the obverse consisting of a Silesian style German national eagle clutching a silvered banner bearing an inscription of FR SCHLESIEN (FOR SILESIA), overlaid across its chest by a Brustmond, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 32. 13 mm (w) x 43. 24 mm (h), weighing 14. 3 grams, a Third Reich period example in
