A small Reichskriegsflagge (Imperial War Flag), constructed of a white cotton twill base, bearing a double sided printed design consisting of a black Nordic Cross trimmed with black borders, overlaid by a central Prussian imperial eagle, and with an Imperial black, white, and red tri colour flag set into the upper hoist edge, in turn defaced by a black Iron Cross, the hoist edge reinforced with an additional layer of white cotton
