Prussia, Kingdom. A Warrior Merit Medal, C.1900 Auction with a layer of copper-brown(Krieger Verdienstmedaille). Instituted 1835 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1873 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central inscription of KRIEGER VERDIENST (WARRIOR MERIT), the reverse with a central monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I, unmarked, measuring 25. 06 grams (inclusive of ribbon), weighing 9. 1 grams, in better than very fine condition.
